About John

John Berrigan is an experienced program manager, planner,  and operations & design consultant for the public and private sector. For 37 years, John applied a practical, collaborative and innovative approach for communities and industry to use water more sustainably, resiliently and efficiently.

John has extensive experience throughout the upper Mississippi Basin, the Great Lakes region and the Southeast. He also has worked on projects in the Southwest, the Eastern Seaboard, Northern Europe and the Caribbean.

In 2024, John retired from professional design practice. Professional engineering licenses in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Connecticut have been retired.  The Florida professional engineering license will be retired in 2025.

John championed neighborhood engagement, home ownership and owner occupancy through his homeowner and neighborhood association volunteer work. He promoted stakeholder collaboration, and environmental improvement through his volunteer work in municipal environment committees, watershed management district boards, and the Environmental Initiative in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Now that he has more spare time, he is following his passion for travel, bicycling, nature photography, physical fitness, science fiction,  and his friends, family, and neighbors.
